Biography
Graduated in piano at the age of eighteen from the Conservatorio F. Morlacchi in Perugia in piano with full marks with honours, Alessia Cecchetti has concerts around the national territory. She attended the post graduate course in piano at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese under the guidance of P. Bordoni (2012), at the Piano Academy of Imola with E.Pace and B. Petrushansky (2016), at the Academy of Music in Pinerolo (2017). She now studies with M. Vacatello and, since 2018, with V. Balzani. She is interested in contemporary music and she attended a masterclass held by M. G. Bellocchio and dedicated to the music of G. Kurtàg (2017) and to the music of G. Ligeti (2018). She was a winner of numerous national and international competitions, among which first prize at the national competition Città di Rieti (Rieti 2012), first prize at the national competition Luigi Paduano (Naples 2012), third prize at the international competition Livorno Piano Competition (2017). She has also attended numerous master classes, including the 16th edition of the Gubbio Summer Festival in 2006, the first edition of the Master class of the Mediterranean for young pianists (Sicilia 2006/2007) where she studied with P. Rattalino, the International Summer Piano Academy on the island of Poros (Greece 2009 and 2011) with Y. Bogdanov, K. Sakai, I. Jones. In 2013 she attended some lessons of S. Bojsten, professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Since 2016 she collaborated with the ensemble Magazzini Babàr, in the productions of the Amici della musica of Perugia.
She is also a student in classical letters and she has regulary performed assistant conductor of Choir Project at the liceo-ginnasio A. Mariotti in Perugia (2006-2015) and, since 2012, of the Coro di Voci Bianche of Conservatorio F. Morlacchi.She has also collaborated with the vocal groups Cantori di Assisi, Coro di Santo Spirito, Corale Laurenziana, Coro San Bartolomeo, Assisiincanto, Ensamble Vocale-Instrumental Perusien de Musique Sacrée conducting by maestro Renato Sabatini. Since 2014 she served as assistant conductor in the singing course of tenor Gustavo Jimenez and Sharon Rostorf-Zamir at the Perugia Music Fest and in November of the same year she was admitted to the auditions for assistant conductor at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala.
